I've never fooled myself that what I do is aimed at a "mass" market. Throughout my career, my work has been inspired by the (sometimes uncomfortable) quality of dreams and other threshold experiences, and as such those are things best communicated to a small audience - if not just one-to-one outright.
With that in mind, I'm resurrecting my "bespoke" audio series from a few years ago, in which I invited friends and strangers alike to commission a totally unique work from me. While I encourage my patrons to ask for something in a style that I'm "known" for, I am open to all kinds of new challenges (you haven't heard me sing yet, have you?), and in fact welcome some opportunities to be put through my paces in this way.
Here is the very simple way in which this all works:
- You buy my services through the Bandcamp platform (the set purchase price is for a composition anywhere in length from 1 to 33 minutes).
- I get in contact with you personally, and we discuss the specifics of what you would like to receive. You can specify not only the contents, but the style of packaging you would like, format (no vinyl, sadly), and instructions for package design if you wish for the composition to be in a physical format. Please note that we may need to negotiate additional costs for material purchases if we are talking about packaging material that's particularly costly or hard to obtain. If this is a concern, do please contact me prior to purchasing.
- We also agree on a deadline for same.
Then *voila!* You have your very own piece of my work to do with whatever you choose. Looking forward to hearing from you.
